(b. 1949)Tom Browning has been painting professionally since 1972. His painting career has been multifaceted, but his love of the West is his biggest inspiration, and Browning feels that it is meaningful to paint in the Western genera. Browning was first invited to participate in the Prix de West Invitational at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in 2008. In 2009, he won the Prix de West Award, after which he was invited to become the twenty-second member of the Cowboy Artists of America. He now exhibits in the Cowboy Artists of America Annual Sale and Exhibition at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Browning is also a member of the Portrait Painters Society of America and the Northwest Rendezvous Group, from which he is a four time recipient of judges’ merit awards and an Award of Excellence recipient.
